We collect the following categories of information when you use Starz Projects:

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and password. Passwords are stored only as an irreversible hash and can never be read by us.
• Business data you enter — project details (name, location, dates, amounts, and descriptions); worker and labour records (names, phone numbers, trades, roles, and wage details, and — only if you choose to add them — identification details such as passport numbers or Emirates ID); daily attendance records; project assignments; and labour payment, expense, income, and profit records.
• Reports generated from your data — labour reports, project value breakdowns, and profit summaries created inside the app.
• Technical information — device model, operating system and app version, crash logs, performance data, and anonymized usage analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your business data for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

• Operate and maintain the app and sync your data securely across your devices.
• Calculate attendance, labour payments, expenses, profit, and reports from the data you enter.
• Respond to your support requests and questions.
• Improve the app's stability, security, and features.
• Send service, account, and account-related notifications.

3. How Data Is Stored and Protected

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we cannot guarantee absolute security, we regularly review our practices to protect your information.

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and stored on secure cloud servers with encryption at rest.
• Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel, strictly for maintenance and support purposes.
• Regular backups protect your data against loss or corruption.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data. We share data only in the following limited cases:

• Trusted service providers that host and operate our infrastructure and analytics, bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
• Law enforcement or authorities, where required by applicable law.

Platform services used by the app — such as Google Play Services and Apple push notification services — are governed by Google's and Apple's respective privacy policies.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time:

• Manage your data directly inside the app, or
• Contact us at info@starzproject.com with your account email — we will verify and act on your request.

Deleting your account removes your projects, workers, attendance records, payment, expense, and report data from active systems. We honour verified deletion requests within 30 days; any residual backup copies are purged within 90 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the app's services to you. After you close or delete your account, your data is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backup systems within 90 days, except where we are required to keep certain records for legal, tax, or security purposes.

7. App Permissions

The app only requests device permissions when a feature needs them: storage or camera access if you attach photos or documents (for example, receipts or worker documents), and notifications for reminders and account alerts. You can withdraw any permission at any time in your device settings — features that rely on that permission will stop working, and everything else will keep working normally.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or a higher age where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

We operate from the United Arab Emirates, and your data may be processed on servers located outside the UAE. Wherever your data is processed, we apply the protections described in this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the revision date, and we may notify you of significant changes inside the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
